Through a series of audio adventures, lesson plans and activities, kidscharacterbuilding.com encourages kids to think about the consequences of their actions, and understand the power they have to affect the world around them.
Rather than use a cookie-cutter approach to issues of right and wrong, my resources encourages young people to think critically about the important issues in their lives, and make their own decisions on the best path to take.
Jean-Yves Marsolais established kidscharacterbuilding.com as a way to help children develop important life skills that are sometimes overlooked, such as character and integrity. A police officer with a career spanning thirty years, he saw first-hand the effect that making bad choices could have on young lives. He decided to use his experience to create practical tools that parents, teachers, law-enforcement officers and guardians can use to encourage character building, moral intelligence and critical thinking for the children in their care.
Kidscharacterbuilding has quickly outgrown just a single guy being do it all! Now it's a cooperative effort of teachers, voice-artist, graphic artists and education specialists and so on. We publish effective, interactive program that guides kids in learning to think and act more ethically and compassionately.
Ultimately, for all of us involve in these project, we hope to inspire a new generation of children to make the most of themselves and make a difference in the world. Although Trax4Life Media is a for-profit organization, the goal is to become self-sustaining while offering some free online resources for all children to benefit from. The skills and experience of many people have gone into these projects, and some have volunteered their time and talents to contribute to this worthwhile undertaking.
